Originally an industrial area, Tribeca is now home to celebrities and the wealthy. Former warehouses have been converted into light-filled lofts in a neighborhood rich with restaurants, nightclubs, galleries, museums and shopping venues. Easily accessible from this family friendly loft, the nearby Hudson River Park offers mini golf, beach volleyball, tennis, and even a skateboard park.
Vestry Loft is industrially inspired and open – with dark wooden furnishings, moody copper light fixtures and exposed brick walls. The elevator whisks guests to the sixth floor, and the open living areas. The open kitchen and dining area are clad in rich floorboards (reclaimed from a barn) and stainless steel appliances. There are also a number of hi-tech touches, like the integrated music system. Past the kitchen, sits a laid-back office space and a guest bedroom, where there’s a king-size four poster bed and an en-suite bathroom.
The master bedroom is located on the subsequent level along with the second sitting room and the guest sofa bedroom. Both bedrooms offer en-suite bathrooms. Another office and guest powder room are nearby. A spacious terrace, with wet bar and grill along with outdoor lounging and dining opportunities, opens off of the sitting area.
Stairs lead to the uppermost terrace, where guests will find the rare for the city infinity edged pool, another wet bar and a powder room. Wooden decking hosts loungers for relaxing poolside and taking in the views. An elevator from the lobby arrives at a private vestibule for loft visitors and maintenance staff.
*Please note that the four floors of this loft are accessed by stairs; there is no internal elevator. The property manager and gardener come by from 12-3pm on Mondays, and 10am-2pm on Thursdays. They use the private eighth floor entrance to ensure minimal disturbance. The villa is close to Holland Tunnel and honking can be heard indoors and outdoors throughout the day.
