Built into the rocks, this spacious three-bedroom villa in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, overlooks the Bay of Banderas, the second largest bay in the world.

Created in traditional Mexican style, the villa offers terracotta tile floors and hand-painted tiles, and features antiques and traditional Mexican folk art pieces. Chunky exposed beams run along the ceilings and frame the windows of this villa, making the sunset views look like giant paintings from nearly every room.

The villa offers a large dining room, gourmet kitchen, breakfast nook and living room, which open to a palm-shaded veranda. 

All three bedrooms feature ensuite bathrooms, while the master bedroom also has a fireplace and spa tub. Two of the bedrooms look out onto the circular, heated pool inset in the large terrace. Wooden shutters can be closed to offer privacy. The classic palapa-roofed bar is the natural focus here. The villa is a short walk down a private stone path to the sandy beach and three miles from the Romantic Zone and downtown Puerto Vallarta.
