A magical estate in a magical location, as its name implies, Rivendell sits on a quiet bay on the virtually undiscovered and untouched south coast of Jamaica. The south coast offers a taste of the ""true Jamaica"", dotted with fishing villages, miles of beaches, natural waterfalls and wetlands, and centuries old estates. Rivendell provides direct access to the Caribbean with two private beaches, clear waters protected by a surrounding coral reef, and a dock for swimming, snorkeling, kayaking and other water sports.

Surrounded by tropical vegetation, the seafront swimming pool leads to beach entry on a private cove. A separate hot tub overlooks the beach. Waterfront seating is available at the dock, in the shaded gazebo, or directly on the beach. For outdoor fun,there is table tennis and lush lawns provide opportunities for croquet, Jamaican cricket or soccer.

Family friendly, and accessible for guests with limited mobility, the floor plan is open, flowing and airy. Indoor living areas open through large elegant wooden doors to the covered house-length verandah and outdoor living and dining areas. The kitchen is fully equipped and modern, and indoor dining seats 16 guests.

Sleeping up to 16 guests, the upper level of Rivendell hosts four spacious en-suite bedrooms opening through folding doors to a house-length balcony with wide Caribbean views. The ground floor bedroom opens to a beautiful garden and boasts a wheelchair access bathroom. Two further bedrooms are hosted in the adjacent bungalow.

Watersports equipment and activities, including jet skis, kayaks, paddle boards, fishing boat and snorkeling equipment are available for guest use. Deep sea diving and spa experiences can easily be arranged through the Sandals Whitehouse Resort just across the bay.

With activities for all ages, and an attentive staff of seven, Rivendell makes for a graceful and comfortable beachfront retreat for familes or groups of friends on Jamaica's lush south coast. For offsite exploration, the ""Black Rivier Safari"" and ""YS Falls"" are within a 30 minute drive from Rivendell
