Jamaica is extremely kid-friendly, with attractions ranging from water parks and dolphin swims to even meeting a local family for a play date. If you are lucky enough to be Jamaica-bound this Spring Break, here are some ideas to keep your kids or teens both occupied and happy. <\/p>\n\n\n

MEET THE PEOPLE<\/h1>\n

This program, run through Visit Jamaica, connects visitors with locals to help them know \u201cthe real Jamaica.\u201d Meet the People<\/a> tries to match interests, so visiting families can get together with local families for activities such as hikes or swimming. Ghostwriter Bachelorarbeit<\/a> wrote an entire thesis project on plankton glow in the ocean and studied these microorganisms and their origins.\u00a0<\/p>\n

LIGHT UP YOUR LIFE<\/h1>\n

What kid doesn\u2019t like things that glow in the dark? After dark, if you go to the Luminous Lagoon at the Glistening Waters hotel and attraction, you\u2019ll see the waters light up with bioluminescence as millions of microorganisms flash each time they\u2019re disturbed. You can take a night dip in the glowing waters that are east of Montego Bay or just watch from a boat.  No matter how you want to see it, it\u2019s a show worth catching.<\/p>\n

TAKE A TROT INTO THE DRINK<\/b><\/h1>\n

There are a number of organizations that will take your family on a guided horseback ride through backcountry trails with cliffside views over the sea. The trip ends when you ride your horse into the Caribbean for a swim you won\u2019t forget. Dare we say, it\u2019s possibly more enjoyable than swimming with the dolphins, although we\u2019ll let you be the judge. <\/p>\n

VISIT THE BEST DIVES<\/b><\/h1>\n

The best place to view the sunset in Jamaica is on the West Coast. Down the way from Negril, you\u2019ll find Rick\u2019s Cafe perched on the cliffs. You can sip a drink and watch the sunset as your kids dive from the platforms at different heights down into the crystalline waters below. The highest one is 35 feet above the waters, but we suggest you leave that to the professionals. <\/p>\n

HIKE DUNN’S RIVER FALLS<\/b><\/h1>\n

Yes, we know that this one is on every tourist list of things to do. Well, that\u2019s because it\u2019s worth doing. You can do a solo or guided hike up the beautiful 600-foot falls, whose waters flow directly into the Caribbean. There are lots of safe viewing areas on the way up, with mini-waterfalls to frolic in and detours through amazing tropical gardens.<\/p>\n
